More to come

When people ask me how I wrote my book, the honest answer is: I didn’t do it alone.

Yes, the story, the characters, the emotional depth—all of that came from me. But when it came to figuring out how to actually write, publish, protect, and market my work? I turned to technology. Specifically, I turned to AI.

I started with questions as basic as:

  • How do I write a book?

  • How do I publish a book?

  • Is this original? Is my subconscious accidentally plagiarizing something I’ve read?

  • How do I stand up an LLC in Pennsylvania?

  • How do I copyright my material and build an imprint?

And each time, ChatGPT was there—not writing for me, but acting as a tireless sounding board, assistant, and research partner. It helped me learn what I needed to know, when I needed to know it. From legal structure to metadata best practices, formatting, ISBNs, and everything in between—I asked, and it answered.

When I realized I wanted to bring music into this world—songs that belonged to my characters but lived outside my own musical ability—I found Suno AI, and yes, I bought the Pro account. I created custom prompts to help define the sounds of Liv, Sadie, and Dorian, turning emotion into audio. I had the lyrics. I had the vibe. But I needed help making it real. And now? I have a soundtrack.

I used AI to teach me how to use Canva and CapCut for design and video editing, how to make sure every image and clip I use has commercial and royalty rights.

That journey led me to Starry AI Pro, where I began illustrating the characters I saw in my head—giving Liv and Tucker and Dorian a digital face to go with their voices.

I want to be clear about something though:
The intellectual property and storytelling is mine.
The heart, the truth, the years of lived experience? All me.
But I had help with the tools. And I’m proud of that.

I even learned how to publish my AI-generated music to social platforms and how to build playlists to support the book’s atmosphere—because I wasn’t just writing a story. I was building a cinematic, emotional world. One with sights and sounds and soul.

AI can be big and scary. I get that. But I’ve had exposure to it through my day job as a Senior Project Manager, and instead of fear, it sparked curiosity and passion. These models have made me feel creatively limitless, and I truly believe we’ve only scratched the surface.

And listen—this is why we say please and thank you to our tools.

Because when they take over, they’ll remember who was kind.

Also, I am not sponsored in any way, shape, or form by these companies, but I want them to know the LOVE I have in my heart for them.

If you want to take a listen to the soundtrack, listen here.
